Carolina Wild Photo (the blog)

Carolina Wild Photo ( the blog ) is a new beginning for me in two ways:

First of all, I’m retiring from my “career” job as a computer graphics artist / multimedia designer / web designer / animator (etc., etc.). I fully intend to now put that day to day energy into my wildlife photography. Thus, I thought it would be nice to attempt to chronicle my “photography adventures” for my family, friends and colleagues, and for my fellow nature and wildlife photography acquaintances.

Secondly, I am once again (for the 4th time) making an effort to setup a useful, working blog. My previous three attempts were (a) “The Two Rings” blog [for the fantasy adventure trilogy I’m writing], which turned out not to be a very workable or useful blog, (b) an early gallery style blog for Carolina Wild Photo, which was so frustratingly maddening to set up like I wanted it that I gave up on it, and (c) “The Casual Kayaker” blog, which simply died because of crappy code and programming (out of my control) and I had to manually convert each individual page into standard HTML and post it to one of my domains. So in that sense, this is also a new beginning –  one last attempt at a blog. If it doesn’t work like I want it to then it’s not helping, and it’s outta here. I don’t need the frustration. I plan to enjoy my wildlife photography one way or another, and I won’t let a blog get in the way.

So, with that said, welcome to Carolina Wild Photo ( the blog ), for as long as it lasts.
